Dr. Jekyll: Henry

Throughout his 20+ year career Henry has built up the image of being a man with an outstanding support system in the form of his large family and an upstanding moral compass when compared to many in the acting business. This is one of the reasons I really grew to admire Henry. So many in the entertainment business lack morals and humility, and fame gets to their head. This is why his actions since his "relationship" with Natalie began have been perplexing. They have gone against everything Henry had claimed to be about. Plus he's broken off relationships with past girlfriends over MUCH LESS than what Natalie appears to have done in her past.

It's obvious the tone of his Instagram posts have also changed in this timeframe. What used to be the random post of his beloved dog Kal or his building a new gaming PC, which caused millions of fans to fall deeper in admiration of him, are now posts of very questionable pictures of him and his "love" or to promote Muscle Tech. Gone are the good times.

Where to begin with that Instagram post. The picture itself is awful. It looks like a textbook sloppy photoshopped picture. So many questionable details to point out. (Below are some issues pointed out by king.henrycavill via Instagram) And the message. It sounded like a grown man having a feminine temper tantrum because many fans started to question the pair. It seemed to be completely out of character for Henry. Personally I do not believe he penned it. IT SCREAMS A FEMALE WROTE IT. But he allowed it to be posted on his official account, so he isn't completely blameless here. And if you have a problem with fans giving negative feedback on your girlfriend, KEEP IT PRIVATE!

The problems with the photo:

Since then things between Henry and the fans have never been the same. More questionable photos of them "together" or promotional posts. There was so much flack after a picture of Natalie's dog Meat (tacky name) on his account that the next day a picture of Kal was posted to calm down the backlash.

This has no doubt effected his engagement with fans on the whole. As of today, October 4th, Henry's last post promoting his upcoming film Enola Holmes 2 has received 848,874 likes. On an account that has 21.8 million followers. OUCH!

HENRY'S LOOK

Despite saying he tries to only focus on things he can control, it is OBVIOUS that he has been under stress since this relationship began. The proof is in the photos. Some people claim he's just tired from work...but the eyes do not lie. Henry hasn't looked truly happy in the past year and a half. And he's aged so quickly.

Does this look like a man who is "happy in love, and in life?"

EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE?

"I was overweight when I went to school. In fact, I was overweight when I left, just taller. Fatty Cavill was the nickname. I mean, no one wants to be Fatty Cavill." - Henry

Henry in the past has made light of the bullying he endured as a child while attending school and how he would call him mother daily crying and begging her to let him come home. He believes it has made him a stronger person and for that he holds no grudges against his bullies.

But has this effected Henry as an adult? How could it not? I do not claim to be a psychiatrist or psychologist but it's not a far stretch to think there are some long-term effects effecting Henry. In my opinion, I believe it has.

"Social relationships in adulthood were affected too; children who were bullied were at increased risk of living without a spouse or partner at age 50, were less likely to have met up with friends in the recent past, and were less likely to have access to social support if they were sick. We already know he has body image issues. Unless he has the body of Superman, he believes he is fat, which is absolutely not true. His hasn't had a great track record with romantic relationships. Most people believe he's been in a PR relationship before with actress Kaley Cuoco. His taste has been questioned for dating a girl who boasted about killing animals (Henry proclaimed to be a big supporter of animal welfare), a university student 12 years his junior, and of course, Natalie. None of his relationships have lasted very long.

So has the outward smiles and charming personality been hiding true emotional issues? It's possible. I believe with this PR relationship Henry is suffering. He hasn't looked well since it's began. Perhaps he's no longer able to hide the stress and sadness any longer.

Truly heartbreaking.
